Josh Edmundson graduated with honors from the history department at California State University, San Bernardino, in June 2014, and immediately began work on his Master’s degree in Museum Studies. This website is the culminating project of that interdisciplinary graduate degree from CSUSB.
In 2014, Josh published an article on midcentury architecture, photography, and design based on research conducted at the historic Annenberg Retreat at Sunnylands, where he has worked for 4 years. In his first year of graduate work, Josh was honored to receive the inaugural Sunnylands Graduate Fellowship, and spent the year working closely with the curatorial staff on research and exhibition development. Josh is passionate about social justice issues, art, history, design, architecture, and historic preservation. He also enjoys travel and cooking with his longtime partner, Kenny Cassady, who he thanks for unwavering support in his academic pursuits.
Josh is also grateful to the exemplary staff and faculty at CSUSB, particularly Tom Long, Cherstin Lyon, Jeremy Murray, Arianna Huhn, and Pam Crossen. He would also like to thank the staff at the ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives at the University of Southern California, including archivist Kyle Morgan, for their invaluable assistance.
